Antler Restrictions - Any progress made at your place?

We are seeing a huge improvement in the herd at my place in WOOD county. Based on actual sightings and trail cam pics next year should be the best yet since I have owned the place(5yrs,). So far we have seen only one spike and it was on trail cam. The good news is that we have seen a whole lot of nice bucks right at the edge of the ears. Too close to pull the trigger! We are into the protein now with great expectations for next year. So far, as far as my place goes the restrictions have been a huge success. Anybody else see a difference?

yes and no. I still think the neighbors are busting illegal deer. It definitely works when people adhere to it.

The place we have in Nac county has seen a good increase in mature deer with a nice 12 on the tc.

I'm with Buff. I do see some older deer, but they are the ones that no one else can shoot either.

same here Joe. Fayette County has a big problem with poaching.

It's tough to say, as hard as this season was, but around me, NO. I saw a couple high and tight racks, and ONE legal buck. This is in Williamson Cty, and I probably got out better than 60 hunts this year.

This was our second year for the antler restrictions.
