is there a device out there that you can call to actrivate a device in your home... as in the air conditioner at the camp.... man if you could call when you left the house and get there with it already cool inside wouldnt that be a hoot... anything out there like that... thanks

You can look into automation systems, but you're looking at dropping some coin for the base system, plus extras like t-stats. You also need a broadband connection to access the automation system.

If you have broadband at the camphouse, you can also look into a 2-Gig Alarm system. They offer a wireless alarm system with some basic automation included for an additional charge - T-stat control, lights, security, etc. The more you have, the more you pay. How much do you want to spend?

Yes, they have programable systems like that. You set a day and time and temperature and it'll come on.

I remember the days of RadioRa and Homeworx. That and running what seemed like millions of zones and switch legs to light touch panels and vantage panels. Ugh I don't miss those days much.
