If you haven't read "One Shot, One Kill" about Carlos Hathcock(sp), check it out!

Marine Sniper... It's about Carlos Hathcock. There is a follow up book by the same author but you'll want to read this one first. It WON'T be bathroom material though. I started out with it like that and read it in about 8hrs... STRAIT

Here you go. The 3 at the top are the ones you'll want to read. If you don't get watered up reading the second book you're not a real human!

A buddy of mine is finishing up the "American Sniper". He said its pretty good and it's about a Texas sniper. Here is a review

From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan ("the devil") and placed a bounty on his head. Kyle earned legendary status among his fellow SEALs, Marines, and U.S. Army soldiers, whom he protected with deadly accuracy from rooftops and stealth positions. Gripping and unforgettable, Kyle's masterful account of his extraordinary battlefield experiences ranks as one of the great war memoirs of all time.

SEAL Team 3 Chief Chris Kyle served four combat tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom and elsewhere. For his bravery in battle, he was awarded two Silver Stars, five Bronze Stars with Valor, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and one Navy and Marine Corps Commendation. Following his combat deployments, he became chief instructor for training Naval Special Warfare Sniper and Counter-Sniper teams, and he authored the Naval Special Warfare Sniper Doctrine. Today, he is president of Craft International, a worldclass leader in training and security. He lives with his family in Texas, where he devotes much of his spare time to helping disabled veterans.

+1 on "Marine Sniper 93 Confirmed Kills". Couldn't put it down.
"Point of Impact" for a fiction option.
"SEAL Team Six: Memoirs of an Elite Navy SEAL Sniper" Couldn't put it down.

Currently reading "Killing Lincoln." Amazing book!

While reading these books are entertaining don't romanticize the effects these have on the person your reading about

                      Chris Kyle's book!!
                      "American sniper".
Not positive but I do believe he beat out Hatchcock and held the record and was then beat by his own friend.

                            Very good read!
Also "Shooter" which is an autobiography of Gunnery Sgt. Jack Coughlin USMC. Just finished this one and its very interesting to see how Couglin adapted his skills and developed a mobile sniper unit in Iraq.
