    Bachelor Groups

Always keeping an eye for deer while driving but this year I've already seen six different bachelor buck groups north of Houston. And they are surrounded by subdivisions. I get them on my trail cameras onthe lease, but never have gotten a day-light visual out in the open on even one group, let along six.

Anyone else seeing a greater number than usual?

I would say it is not unusual to see them in bachelor groups to begin with.

On our place we do not see deer driving around as much but see bachelor groups of bucks on the game cam pics. Same this year as last year I would suppose.

How north of Houston? There is a lot of work right near The Hardy&I-45 for the new Exxon Campus going in.. perhaps they are pushing them out of the land there?

Maybe so, one group was in that area.

Another group on Hwy59 just north of FM1485. Two groups on FM 242, and two more on FM1488. The one group of three just east of Magnolia is now down to two, one was hit by a car. All the other groups had 4 or more, none looked like they would make the AR's.

now is the time to see them, especially in subdiv areas where there is less open space
