    Do I scrap her!!

Ok green screen this is a tuff one I have a 71 chevy with a Cummins 4 BT that ran good up till last week. But this week it sounds like the top or the bottom just wants to come unglued. Here’s the question pull it and replace with a 12valve or spend a small fortune rebuilding it.

I would NEVER scrap ANYTHING without putting it on Craigslist. You would be amazed what some people will buy. Someone out there is looking for that exact truck and has a motor of some sort sitting waiting to go in it. Also I think steel went down to something like 8 cents a hundred recently.

Good news the motor purrs like a kitten when i dropped the trany. But the bad news is the close to $400 flexplate is toast.
