Fertilize anytime as long as you water it.

Your good to go. Keep it watered.

I do it 3x per year in April, July, & November.

Just don't put it down in the spring until after you have mowed actual grass (not weeds)a couple of times. No sense in feeding the weeds.

I just put down a Nitophos 19-4-10 slow release last week.

Look up Randy lemmon fertilizer schedule. He list when to fertilize, weed control, etc etc....

Make sure you water it in the am 4:30 to 6:00 is the best times. If you water in the middle of the day u can burn it. Watering at night can lead to fungus such as brown patch!
