    D*%^ Coons

Im sitting on the computer when my dogs start bugging me to let them out. So I get up and walk to the back door and without thinking didnt turn the light on and opened the door. Well my dogs shot out of the door and caught a coon at the base of a tree. I hear the coon start screaming and then it got ahold of my beagle and she is crying and crying. She has taken on many coons and this is this first to make her cry. Well I ran inside to get my 22 and by the time I made it back out the dogs had lost the coon and it was sitting in a tree about 15 feet. I brought the dogs in and the beagle has 2 good sized holes in her cheek and the other has a bite on the nose. I cleaned them up and their shots are up to date but my question is should I worry about the bites??? I set a trap out there and it the little pain in the @$$ gets caught then I will have it tested just wondering what yall think??
Sorry for the long read just thought I would share the story along with the ?

    Thanks
    Jake

You're dogs will be fine. I have coon hounds and they get bit all the time and they are always ok.

If you cleaned the wounds, they should be fine. Even if you didn't, they'll most likely be ok... What you need to do is figure out a way to kick yourself in the butt for not shootin' that dang coon... far as I'm concerned, the only good coon is a dead coon... they serve no purpose any longer since their fur is no longer marketable...

BTW, waitin' on LDP's after you catch the little vermin!
