Bowhunters are a breed of there own

Bowhunters have a bond unlike any other hunter out there. This site is all the proof anyone would need. We stick together through the good and bad. Hunting with a bow takes lots of wisdom and patience, with that being said it takes a very determined person to stick with it. Bowhunting can test your patience for sure. When hunting with a bow its not just killing, its a hunt where everything has to be just right to close the deal. Ty Brumfield helped me get into bowhunting when I was 13 years old after my parents divorced and I lost my hunting partner. He helped and coached me like a dad would have. I have some dang good memories from his old archery shop in my home town. (RIP BROTHER) When my son was born money got tight and I had to part with my pearson spoiler he sold me, boy was that tuff! First two years of my sons life there was no time or extra cash to afford to bowhunt, dang near killed me not being able to hit the woods. Things finaly started to look up, was time to buy another bow. My cuz introduced me to this site, he told me there was a classifieds section with lots of used archery equipment. It didnt take long and I was back in the saddle. After venturing into the campfire section I was welcomed like I was family, I was hooked. Since my join date I have met some of the greatest people a man could ask for. This day and time its hard to find. I have learned so much from this site, couldnt ask for a better bunch of folks. My question is what makes us stick together the way we do? If everyone stuck together the way we do the world would be such a better place.

I think around here it is just a common bond. Everyone around eats and breaths hunting an can not wait for now season.

I couldnt agree more.I love this fire and everyone involved in tending it.By nature,I guess I'm a pessimistic man, always waiting for that bucket of dung to hit me in the face. But over the past year, with a tremendous amount of help from TBH,Ive begun to see the brighter side of life.Since I joined this sight,I cannot tell how many stories I have read that involve tragedy and heartache, love and triumph. But one things for sure, when a friend is in need, the wagons will circle.Thankyou All

great read. this site has done wonders for me as well. as for what makes us stick together, i believe it comes down to all of us having very similar interest and beliefs in what we stand for. dont get me wrong, everyone is different and has different opinions (which is great, it makes for great threads), but it seems we all have roughly the same beliefs and are not afraid to stand by them. the stories, the laughter, the tears, the joy, and the sadness this site has brought me since my time of being a member has shown me i can trust a stranger will say a prayer for me if i ask for one, i will get a "good luck" if im hunting, i will get a fair and honest answer if i ask a question. <-- people doing this is why i am a member and why i will continue to be a member and help out any way i can. it takes real 'hunter', if you will, to be a long time member of this site. not only a hunter of big deer and pigs( ragin), but a hunter of trust, morals, and friendship. i love this site and sorry for the long response...

That right there says it best about this sight. We will bicker amongst ourselves but God forbid tragidy strikes one of us the same fella you felt like you could come to blows with last week will be one of the first to jump in and help you out. We're a HUGE family and we take care of each other the same way we would our siblings. There are one or two guys that post on here that I seldom see eye to eye with. That being said if any of them were in a bind I'd pull as much weight for them as I would Dozer, Chew, Brazos Hunter, Javelin, Hogdude1234, KeeganNotSanSaba, TxAg14, and way too many more to list.

Of the 7 guys I just listed, only 1 of them I would have known without this sight. I truely thank God for out little virtual camp fire. I feel that if something were to happen to me my family would be taken care of better by y'all collectivly than my blood family could muster up. My family at home are starting to understand some of what this place is about. It's very very special. I've said it before and I'll say it agin, you get in what you put out. Whatever you're looking for you can find right here with a few strokes of the keys or the click of the mouse. All because we have one common bond. We like to pull a string back and shoot an animal with a stick. It's almost rediculous sounding to someone who doesn't understand. To me it's just like coming home.

I just traveled 3500 miles to hunt with a man that I had never shook hands with or laid eyes on simply because he extended an invite. Where else in the world that starts with www. can you have that kind of trust?

Bowhunters are different. Only @84 days away from the start, practice fairly often, additional scouting-stands within 20yds of where we can get a shot. Tinkerin with our setup, etc.

As hunters we share a bond the outdoors as a whole is a unique experience that to few people take the time to enjoy we get the chance to witness so many things in the outdoors it's so much more than just the kill it's the camp fire talks and getting out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life a watch in the outdoors is only a reference means nothing to the animals and non hunters can't grasp any of it not having experienced any of it bowhunters have to go even further than others walking the long way around so as to not lay down scent extra prep for there cloths cover scent set ups ect bow hunting makes every animal takin a trophy from a dang ole pig to the biggest buck that's just a few things that brings us together IMO 83 or so days luck to everyone hope we all have a safe and successful season
