    Mavericks, what are y'all doing????!!??

What in the HEdoubleL are the mavericks uppermanagment doing? Every single free agent they were supposedly going after has signed with other teams, all the way from plan A to plan G. Where is financial flexibility they were suppose to have by dumping everyone from the champ team?
Can we now put Donnie Nelson and Mark Cuban down as the worste management group in Texas? They have no idea what they are doing and have never had even a decent draft, most picks don't evenake the team. When Josh Howard is your best draft pick in 10yrs you have problems. I am so ticked right now.
They might as well trade Dirk and start a complete rebuilding process because they don't have a team left and there is nobody even close to good left on the market.
Hope everyone enjoyed the championship because I feel another '90's run coming on.

Guess there are no mav's fans left. They may be short one more real soon.

They had no choice but to take the Champ. team apart. Cuban had to continualy leverage the future for years trying to win that title......now he's paying for it. I don't think they ever expected to get Williams.....

      It's part of the cycle.

did you feel they were the worst management team when they won the championship? if not sounds like you are bandwagoning. there was no reason to resign that championship team. the only player they should have signed was chandler and the money was kind of crazy on him.

I disagree that they HAD to do it. Yes bringing back that same team would have handcuffed them for about three years, which is about the avg length most guys that left got contracts for. Dirk only has about 3 decent yrs left before he prob starts really heading down hill.
Another point, has Cuban and Nelson ever shown the ability to really rebuild a team, especially with youth? That would be a big negatory. All they have done is trade for and sign has been superstars that are on the downhill slide. You know what it finally worked with that collection of players, a lot of past stars who were hungry for a ring. I don't think they would have won it again but they would have been pretty good for 2-3 more years and I think they deserved the right to defend the title.
My main beef is that they have completely stripped the team to the point where we have nothing to offer as trade and seemingly still aren't financially flexible enough to sign good players.
I was fine with letting Jet go this year and most of the players left after Deron were just bandaids like Nash but I sure would like to know what the plan is and if they even have one.

They have never remotely attempted to rebuild a team. Cuban's entire ownership period has consisted of trying to get the right pieces around Dirk. Rebuilding started last year...whether he'll admit it or not.

And under the new CBA the '11 team would not have been possible to keep together.

Worst ownership in Texas? Cuban has lost a couple HUNDRED MILLION since he bought the team and never once complained or failed to make a move based on money if he thought it would make the team better.

Like I said in my last post, they put that team together the same way they always did, they just got lucky that it finally worked. Just seems like they put all their eggs in one basket and have completely struck out. We have nothing left on this team.
Just a little peaved after the draft disappointment and now it looks like the free agency will be a major disappointment as well. Going to be hard to get excited about next year.

Oh and as far as the bandwagoning comment, I am a very loyal fan, that's why I am so disappointed in the way things are going, I don't want to see another late 90's run.

Plenty of room on the Spurs bandwagon.

Loosing money doesn't make an owner or GM good. Tom hicks lost a lot of money trying to make teams good, was he and the empty golf shirt a good management team? Jerry as owner and GM has spent a lot of money on players with a lot of failures, does that make him good?
                    There's a difference between passionate and good/knowledgable.

And I kind of said that tongue and cheek. They aren't the worst but they sure need some help in the drafting department.

I think I just threw up a little in my mouth! I'd rather just quit watching basketball all together.

Don't worry management has everything under control. They see things you don't. Just trust them.

what is the difference between a decent team and a bad team. why hang on to a bad team. an old team. the point of playing is to win the championship. start to rebuild now.

Dirk has saddlesores from carrying this team. He is starting to look like someone who has been rode hard and put up wet too many times. I can't imagine what he is thinking right now.
Wonder if they will actually trade him? I know he doesn't want to be traded but he also said it himself that he is too old to rebuild. Prob is that the only teams that would really want him is title contenders and a team that good won't have high draft picks to trade. Arrghh!

Sorry for all the ranting, just really $$&/?!)((??!! Off!
