Need a New Microwave

The wife killed the microwave last night. kinda frustrating because its the second one weve had die in 3 years. I got online to look at some new ones, and all of the reviews I see say that they all have a tendency to dies anywhere from 6 months to just unde 2 years. Do they just not make them like they used to? My MIL had one that lasted 25 years before it crapped out. Am I just looking at the wrong stores, or being too cheap?


Also, what kind of microwave do you have? How long have you had it? How much did it cost you (if you can remember)? and where did you get it?

I have a brand new, nice microwave sitting in my garage. I've never even used it. I guess I need to get to selling it.

Did she put foil or something in it to kill it???

had ours since we moved in the house 3 years ago. paid like 100 bucks for it from best buy scratch and dent and it mounts over the stove.

We have a Sharp that is about 9yrs old. Couple of buttons have stoped working so I guess it is on its way out.
Just replaced the one upstairs with a cheep one. We will see if that was a bad idea....

No, its just decided to stop turning and cooking. The light still comes on and timer counts down, it just doesnt know its not cooking I guess.
