Called discount to get some tires this morning. 285/75/16 for my 2500hd stock wheels. They said they can not mount them any more. Against their fitting guide they now enforce. They have mounted up 3 sets for me over the past 11 years on this truck. Doh! Looks like I'll take em down the road and have a small shop mount em for me

Lemme see--I'd bet they got sued by some dumb-guy and the jack-leg lawyer pointed out that they had "improperly" installed oversized tires on the stock rims (at the owner's request) and that was the proximate cause of the accident--and a "jury of our peers" bought the line from the lawyer. Or else they settled and part of the settlement agreement was that they would develop and enforce a tire fitting guide.

That's crazy! I bet buying them from discount and having a local shop mount and balance is probably still cheaper than buying elsewhere. Did you check all the discounts in the area? I put the same size on my 04 a few weeks ago and they didn't say nothing about it but this was in Houston not Arlington
