New to bow hunting what bow to get ?

Ok I am new to this and wanting to get into it just don't wanna tie up too much cash just incase I don't like it .. What's a good bow to get that won't break the bank .. I also need a kids bow for my 8 year old girl all she talks about is wanting to shoot pigs lol please let me know and Ty for the help

Well there are several good bows out there now. Just go to a proshop and shoot them, then decide which one is most comfortable for you. I would avoid the big box stores, but they will have the less expensive brands. Their bow techs may or may not know what they are doing. In my experience they do not, but you might get lucky, lol.
I'd go to a real archery shop. They can really help you out...

Go to a good archery shop that will et you shoot several kinds of bows and get what fits you and shoots well. Don't get too hung up on brand name or thinking you have to have a certain kind of bow. Everyone has diferent needs and tastes.

Exactly!! Most shoot good these days but it's all about what feels good to you. I'm still shooting a 12 yr old Hoyt that I just can't give up!

Do not buy based on a commercial, ad, friend's advice or a shop's advice. Your money, you pick the bow you like the best, no matter what mfg or make. Make sure and shoot them before you buy to make sure it is the one that is for you and the one you like the best out of all of them.

Yes! But find something with a lot of adjustability to it (ie. draw weight and draw length) so that it will grow with the child!

Mission makes several bows that are infinetely adjustable to draw length and weight. They are reasonably priced. Like everyone has said go shoot a few and then decide. The only real problem with buying a used bow is finding one that will fit you. Trying to shoot a bow too long or too short is a waste of time and will be frustrating. If you are in the used market at least go to a pro shop and get properly measured. Then only look at used bows that meet your draw lenght. This will save a lot of frustration.
