I just did it so that I would not get picked on

Hey guys. I mainly use tapatalk on my phone for TBH these days. When using it you can't tell who is supporting and who isn't. Does my screen name still say supporting member?

Lastly, this entire thread questions the way the site is run and calls into question the business savvy of the owner himself. Not a good idea!!
thank you for this comment. "if" there was a REQUIRED fee, then fine, however there is not. supporting members are muchly appreciated i'm sure, however, as mentioned, there are other kinds of "support" that are highly valued on here as well. Kudos sir

I thought I was supporting this site, by being a member. Without its members, there is nothing to support.

I believe you need to re-read my posts. Again I have never suggested someone has fewer rights/opinions here based on what $$ they may have spent. Please enlighten me on which post I said this...

And how I am I questioning Michael's business sense. If anything I am supporting him and his website by even writing the original post.

Don't really appreciate being called ignorant because I voiced an opinion that I feel is a legit observation of the site.

I know who the 'supporting', caring, unselfish, wise, and knowledgeable tbh members are regardless of the 'Supporting Member' status. We all do, so I am not quite sure why you feel the need to claim I am ignorant.

Its all understandable....a person gets to chose how they support if they can.....your whole post was judgmental in my opinion.

Your $11.50 compared to Joe Blows $200-500 in tshirts, decals, koozies, dominoes, hats, fleece, hoodies, mag subscription, bownanza team donations, etc etc might fail in comparison."

I never said that Supporting Members have a larger say but I know I notice that Supporting Member logo next to their avatar. .
You suggested that folks shouldn't be able to complain about things if they don't have a membership. I was referring to that specfiic comment.

Disclaimer: complaining is not recommended at anytime...

Good for you....I was a supporting member for two years before I chose to do it other ways. I think you'll find that the majority of the members in the specific point categories you mentioned did the same.

I understand but I'm just stating that things aren't always as they appear and its not as simple as avatar decoration. You blanketed a whole group of TBHers with your post. It may not have been intentional but it covered all folks that do not have the supporting member tag.

Not always...some folks do things anonymously and don't use TBH as a place to showcase what they do or did.

I apologize if I 'blanketed' anyone in this original post not my intention. I believe y'all read to deeply in to the post. I simply was trying to give this site more of the support that it deserves by the people who do not contribute in any way. so much for trying to help i guess

If support can be defined as maybe drawing other potential members to the site, then pretty much any thread topic posted can accomplish that(even by those without the moniker).

I picked a random topic question, Googled the same question... low and behold, guess who comes up on the top of the hit list.

Now, consider the possibilities of how many times per week/month/year the millions of people searching for "x" are redirected here because of a topic someone here posted.

To be perfectly honest, I rarely, if ever notice the "supporting" member avatar anymore.

                        Support comes in many forms.

Have you shown your support by going to Bownanza?

Just trying to show there's more than a little sign under your avatar to establish who you are and how one wishes to contribute!

I have been a supporting member for quite a while but now that Michael (TBH) has a bunch more sponsors I may not be needed as much. Especially if I support the sponsors buy buying their goods...

But other than Supporting Members and people who by TBH products (shirts, magazines, koozies, etc.) where does the money come from for site maintenance? honest question?
