Repair scratch on flat screen TV or NO?

Are the home repair kits worth a darn for removing a scratch on a flat screen?

I have also heard to rub in a light does of petroleum jelly and wipe away the excess. Anyone tried this?

I have a Sharp 60" LED and the scratch just bothers me...need to make a change!

I've never tried it on a tv but I did try something like that on my iPhone and it didn't work. Ended up just replacing my screen.

Try one of those headlight polymer kits? the ones that get rid of the haze (The haze is just micro scratches caused by dust/wind/dirt/rain/etc.....
