Schroeder hall outside of Goliad had been there quite some time. I love those old dance halls, wood or concrete floors.

I believe Schroeder Hall is the second oldest dancehall in Texas. I spent many a night out there.

they used to have one in old dime box by the tracks... i would go in and cool off and drink soda pops when we were in the siding for a long time...sawdust on the floor and all the trimmings... very nice place to cool off with a soda pop...

The Cotton Club on the Slaton Highway outside of Lubbock. Been there since the 40's I know. Lotta good times there in the early 70s. Think it's closed down. And the Red Raider Club on the circle in Lubbock. Man oh man.

Someone recently told me that the oldest dancehall in Texas was in Quehee (sp?) around Castroville. Not sure if there is anything to back that up but funny that this was the topic of conversation just last week.
