Family beach trip this weekend. Kids play, Trey fishes.
Hit the beach at 6:00 am to gail winds and huge continuous waves. Only took about 10 casts to know I was wasting time. Heavy ran hit at 7:00 a.m. I was already back in bed.
Weather broke right after lunch and off we went. Threw up the pop-up and got the kids situated with shovels and buckets. My turn now. One throw of the cast net and cooler hosted several 12" mullet. Slice, slice and on the circle hook with spider weight.
Lots and lots of sea grass/weeds. Continuous fight.
Bling hog gets ONE acorn for the afternoon. Just a hair under 28", saving that tag for later in the year.
Now at Crazy Cajun. Kara & the kiddos, my folks, and Kara's folks. Hopefully a better fishing report tomorrow!
