We had a really good overnight trip offshore, leaving Wed, coming back thursday, the weather lined up and we got some guys able to ditch work and come fish, after looking at some chlorophly charts, sea temp charts, and altimetry charts we had a good idea of where some pelagics would be hanging out.....We were wanting put a marlin to the boats resume and catch a sword or two cause we are running low on swordfish steaks.....We billfished for maybe 5 hours total, hooking 2 blue marlin, catching one (sob ate the 30 wide we had in the spread too, making things much tougher than they should have been), had another one in the spread, saw another free jumper, and another absolute giant come completley out of the water 30 yds off the side of the boat eating a 10 lb dorado, easily 500 lbs, probably more (biggest ive ever seen)....it was a sight to see, we all had to pick our jaws up off the ground afterwards. Also caught one real nice wahoo on the troll, a few smaller blackfin tuna, and some unknown knockdowns on the riggers we never saw. Swordfishing was slow for us, we caught a 250 lb or so shark that had us all jazzed up until we saw what it was, finally hooked a sword real late into the night and ended up coming unbuttoned awhile into the battle (bummer). Pretty epic billfish action for the good OL' GOM though, wished i could have stayed another day cause we were in some prime real estate and no telling what kind of damage we could have done with more time...heres a few pic's didnt have my camera on me much this time, was really busy we were on fish most of the time....heres a few that got taken
