Real Cajun Food in Boyd, Texas

I grew up in Pt. Arthur, Texas eating real Cajun food. Get there early for dinner or expect to wait at least 1 hour. It's BYOB.

            Frilleys Cajun is pretty good....

Denton is mostly chain restaurants with a few hole in the wall mexican places. There is El Matador and Mazatlan on University Drive although Mazatlan is good food, it is seemingly more of a lunch place.

Frillys is a good idea, roosters, the love shack, weinbergers deli, the new oyster bar I hear has good food. El matador for Mexican food, or Raphael's out on 380east is good. There is also a prairie house out that way.

Denton has some good non chain eating depending on what you are hungry for.

I am a fan of Hoochies off Bell Street. Great food and anytime a train or siren goes by, 1.00 beer. They have the best ceviche I have ever eaten
