Headng to San Antonio

My lovely bride and I will be hitting 35 south heading to ol' San Antonio for a little weekend getaway this afternoon. Wednesday (6/27) was our 30th anniversary and since we aren't hitting Italy (17 day tour) until early September, we thought a long weekend in the Alamo City was in order. We have a nice balcony room at the Menger, so my first order of business is a adult beverage down at the bar when we roll in this evening



For you locals, is there anything going on in San Antonio or the area this Friday or Saturday that we should try to do?

Besides sweat not alot going on....sit by the pool and drink...drive another 2 hours and wet a line at the coast the trout fishing is on FIRE right now!!!

There is a place up in Bulverde area called Tejas Rodeo co. On Friday they have just a dance on Saturday they have a lil rodeo and dance live music nice steak house on site.

Aaron Lewis is playing at the Majestic Theatre Saturday night walking distance from the Menger....

Humper...swing over to Bandera Saturday. They are having the River festival there....someone here posted a thread about it. It's about a 45 minute roll......worth the trip to check things at the COWBOY CAPITAL

Stayed at the Menger a few weeks back. My fav hotel in SA. Eat @ Bohanas steaks ! Get the 24 oz bone in ribeye !
