Contemplating sending my lab off for training

My 14 week old female is showing the signs of becoming an excellent retriever. Right now I have the time to work with her, but that may not be the case in a few weeks.

Anyone on here interested in training her or have recommendations? I'm just wanting a gun dog, not a hunt test or field trial dog.

Do you have 15 minutes twice a day to spend with her?

That's all it took me to train mine...

Yes I do now, but I have applied for some jobs that will have me traveling alot. I'm starting to figure out that I don't have the patience. This is the first dog I've worked with.

And yes, it takes a lot of patience... It's very easy to break a dog's spirit and once that's done, it's very tough...

mine is currently at hidden lake retreivers.. ill post up some a video of him after being there for 2 months.. hes about 9 months old now and went there when he was 7 months old.. get ready to spend about 600 a month.. how long depends on how fast your dog learns and how advanced you want him trained

Best move we made. Rody Best in Page Texas made Sarah a special Lab for me and the family. When we get another it will be sent to school with Rody.

Training him yourself will give you a bond, ever tried to give commands to another mans dog? My hunting buddies try all the time, my yellow lab responds to me and me only! He'll half the time he won't even listen to my wife!

Thanks guys I understand the bond but I also have a good idea of what her potential is and I want her to get the training she needs especially if I can't do it. That's why I got a lab with a strong background and not just a dog.
