First carry gun

Went to bass pro and tryed several guns ended up liking Springfield xd 40 also liked xdm 40 however it was 699.00 vs 549.00 was just looking.on way home stopped by nageals gun shop just to look had xd on sale for 480 and xdm for 575.00 walked out with the xdm compact 40.cant wait to shoot it.also surprised that they had great price on ammo !!

good choice pp. the xdm instead of the xd. some people don't think there's a big difference, but there is. the trigger on the xd is terrible. the xdm has a clean crisp trigger pull, match barrel, and added mag capacity. i have the xdm .45 with 3.8 barrel, i love it

Good choice. I did a Powder River trigger job on my XD45 Compact to clean-up the trigger pre/post travel. I also decided to polished the barrel to a high metal shine 4 years ago, and 'still' no rust or discolorization on it. Good guns.

I HATED the trigger on the XD! Went and got a Glock 23. Then the XDM came out and it had a MUCH better trigger. Congrats on the new pistol. I love the Crossbreed SuperTuck holster. I have one for my Glock and one for my Sig P232 that I got off the classifieds here. The SuperTucks take about a week of everyday wearing to "mold" to your body but once they do you can almost forget you are wearing it.
