Oh and check out cameraland. I just picked up a Zeiss 4.5-14x50 mil dot for 599.99 shipped.
They are demos but are good to go.

A buddy of that is a rifle hunter swears by his trijicon. He ranted and raved about it so much I thought about buying one. I would go somewhere and look thru all of them in your price range. I think you will be surprised how clear the trijicon is. The last time I was in gander mountain they had one on display and I was shocked that it was more clear than the swarovski z5 right next to it. When looking across the store at deer heads I could see them in more detail with the trijicon. As far as holding zero and how accurate the clicks are I don't know. Hope this helps!Comment
