    Brazos River juggin' weekend...

It's a little late, but the prego wife and I headed to the cabins on the Brazos two weekends ago. I was after a catfish (or one its size) we lost yrs ago that was around 70 lbs. I know how big he was, cause I had him upside down by the boat before a quick yank and he broke the 5/0 hook I was using. Since then, I've upgraded the hooks and my landing skills... Unfortunately I didn't catch one up to my standards (30+lbs) so all of these fish were returned to grow... Caught 18 fish on 16 hooks in 2 nights. Not too shabby. Probably 110 lbs total weight of the fish caught.

Saturday afternoon the woman didn't want to sit in the hot sun, so I did some redneckn' and came up with this here shady spot for her to hang out.

Sunday morning I pulled in these boogers.. Y'all might wanna prepare yallself's for the upcoming swoleness. =)

Thanks Tommyh, she's been a trooper for sure!!

Brandon1574- not quite for rent since driving in access is next to impossible without a couple of keys, but I imagine we could do some horse tradin' for a weekend fishing trip.

buckfever12- I'm always down for some shootin!

Brad- lets plan a trip! It's about an hour from my house and probably closer from yours.

Dave, the bait was medium sized perch. I usually buy the large.

I'll post some more pics of the cabins here shortly...

                      pics from the recent past...
