Anyone know a relatively lenient vehicle inspection spot in Austin?

I need to drive the ranch jeep for about an hour on July 4th. Problem is that it is for a parade and their will be tons of cops around and they have kept vintage and other vehicles out of the parade in the past due to expired inspections.

I believe you can get it inspected in another county if you sing a waiver.
My brother had to get his car inspected in Lampasas county because of emmisions.
He had to sign a waiver stating that he knew it would not pass in Travis county and some other stuff.

never heard of that one ^^^ but how old is the vehicle?

also, I think if it is driven less than 5k or maybe it's 500 miles a year, it does not need the sniffer, just safety inspection.

there aren't too many 'lenient' inspections stations any more if any at all....HUGE problems if they get popped....not like it used to be...

Manchaca Road, 1/2 mile north of intersection with 1626.
Turn to the east on Regal Row.
All the way to the cul-de-sac at the back.
Its the inspection place that sits at about 10 o'clock.
Sorry, cant remember the name..but they passed my Jeep when really...well...

          **disclaimer**
This place was reputable, don't want to get anybody in trouble.
My 85 CJ is now old enough it doesn't have to pass the emissions, which is what kept her from passing previously..
It has a tiny exhaust leak and a horn that works when you hold your tongue just right..She is worthy of legal status.

            I would try muffler shops
I know thats where all my friends go due to their low brows, no muffler, cracked windshield, ect
