    Looking For An Axis Hunt

I am looking for a good place to shoot an axis. I would prefer a free range hunt, but will consider anything. I just sold a African Safari hunt that I had won, so I have some spare cash. Anybody have any suggestions or a good place to go?

Contact Paul over at Double G. He has a guy in Sanora that has some nice free roaming animals. KJO is behind a fence, and I saw a very good one last weekend while I was there. His rut is just kicking in, so if you can book something with him the price is great if you can get on a big one. My buddy that was hunting with me saw one with extra points. He has the animals they just aren't going to come up and eat out of your hand.

So Axis trumps Black Buck. Where does Whitetail fall in? I've never had Axis or BB.

I personally think BB is better than Axis. They are both very good. The BBQ I killed was old, yet it was still very tender.
