    anyone else have this problem?

I can't seem to find a hunting/fishing buddy. All my friends just want to go to the country club or bar every night and sleep the entire weekend. Which I don't mind going out. But hunting and fishing is my life. My gf loves going but she is recovering from her surgery. I know a lot if people my age that claim to be outdoorsman yet they never want to go outdoors. I have been trying for 2 weeks to find someone to go bowfishing with me. I just got a boat and I know several spots with huge gator gar. I know I would be all over that if I was invited. Anyone else experience this? Lol just venting.

Pretty sure its their jealousy of your catfish catch. Thats still a cool story. Was he pretty tasty?

My fishing buddy is at the ready all the time. If I were to tell him we were going fishing today he'd be stoked.......then again, he's my 11 year old son!

Yeah. I'm 22. If I stay up late enough I don't have to wake up early

I would just wait for her to get recovered from her surgery and look no further.

Yeah, most of my friends (or should I say acquaintances) don't hunt or fish. The ones that do don't like to go outdoors now cause it's "too hot". So yes, I feel your pain.

              I have the same problem
Can't count on anyone these days.
I have accepted the fact that i am going to be fishing and hunting alone 90% of the time.
What's funny is I always have people asking me when I am going to take them fishing.
I always tell them its an open invite whenever they want to go and no one ever calls.

they are not true hunters or anglers, people ask me about hunting but when it comes time to hunt or pay you cant find them, unless you call the wife.

Right there with you on this one. I work a 9/80 schedule so I'm off every other Friday. Problem is that none of my buddies are on that schedule. I save weekends (except during October) for my girls. (can't wait till their old enough to come with me)

Where do you bowfish? Do you know of any good charters in the Houston area. I've never done it, but it's one of my goals for the off season this year and I'd much prefer getting a recommendation from someone that's "been there, done that," than trying to find someone on my own.

My schedule is all jacked uped but I try to get out when I can. Sometimes my days off are when all my friends have to work. When there off, I'm at work.

My problem is all my buddies still have jobs, and I'm retired!! Wait, that's not a problem--the only ones that mind are the pigs and squirrels.
