TX Blended Whiskey- Who has tried it?

Well guys I have to give it two thumbs up . I would give it 3,but being only human I only have 2 hands and Heather would not loan me one of her's.

It is some of the best I have had. The only down fall is that it is hard to get, because it is a small batch whiskey. They bottle it all by hand.

If this wonderful elixir is a sign of things to come, I can't wait for them to release the stuff they have aging in the barrels in their warehouse. Unfortunately that will not be for a few more years. It was only distilled this year.

Well those of you who have tried it speak up and those of you who haven't get on the hunt and give it a try. It took me a couple of weeks to find it.

If I'm not mistaken, blended means it is "blended" with excess that is purchased from other companies and then mixed together- so it would probably not be even close to the same as what is currently aging. Not saying that's bad, but I also rarely do blended.

Might have to pick some up and try it just cause it's from Texas.

Yes sir you are correct. I just expect anyone who goes thru the trouble of putting out a great tasting blend like this to put the same care into their own personal recipe. By we will see.

Here is their website. They recently barreled their first batch of "Texas Bourbon" and they are expecting to bottle it in 2014. I have not tasted the blended yet but those I've talked to that have, say it is very good.

              Cool looking bottle too!

How does it compare to Jefferson's Reserve and Maker's?

Jerp, Where did you find that? A friend of mine is sending me a different Texas Whiskey, also a blended whiskey. It's called Rebecca Creek Whiskey. It's distilled in Bulverde.

I found it at the liquarama stores. Majestic doesn't have it yet.

I have not tried either of those 2. But I may have to go buy a bottle of each and do a taste test for the
                              Sake of market research.
