This man did society a favor. All too often I see dirtbags like this come into our custody with the double last name. That should be a good sign that they are from another country. He probably would have spent 6 months in jail and then he would have been deported. It is an injustice to Texans, taxpayers, and all of the United States. The disparity in laws when it applies to non citizens makes me sick to my stomach. The news media makes it seem like deportation is a punishment. If a US citizen had done this and survived the beating he would get 50 years in prison; but if you are from Mexico or central america and prey upon our children you spend less than one year in prison and get deported. I am proud of that father. I don't condone beating people to death but if I was in his shoes, I would have done the same. Oh by the way, this happens alot. You just don't read about it. Our immigration laws are a joke. I know!!!!!!
