Driving Dallas to Denver/ which way is best?

Don't know if it is best, but this is the way I like to go. Up 287 to Amarillo to I-40 through town unitl you get to Bell street, turn right and go over th overpass and turn left on 1061. Continue on it until you get to 385, turn right and to Dalhart and then on to Raton, hit I-25 on to Denver. I just like the drive and you can get so see some proghorns along the way.

I would go 287 to Dumas then take 87 to Raton,Nm then I-25 to Denver.
