    Major disaster avoided

Wife just called me out to the garage because the freezer had a puddle around it.
By the time I got there she had figured out the problem and got it plugged back in. Seems the 15yr old "only unplugged an extension cord" which just so happens to be the link between the freezer and the wall plug
At least 2 deer, 5 pork butts and no telling what else is in there. Stuff on top shelf was starting to thaw but still plenty cold

I had a knot in my gut before I opened the door

Grill the stuff on top and thank the Lord.

Time to get rid of the extension cord!

Is it a "temporary" freezer or do you plan on using it in the future? Go ahead and pull a new circuit for the freezer and you'll sleep better.

Phillip he is a "reject" JRT, ears stick up so we could not register him

Freezer will most likely be relocated after we finish working on the patio

Still a good looking dog. Tex is a Mountain Feist. He's primarily a squirrel dog but I'm also training him to bloodtrail.

Been there. My boy didn't completely shut the freezer one night and everything in the freezer semi-thawed by the time I caught it. Luckily, we salvaged everything. It was all sealed good. I could not bear to just throw away all that meat.

You are definetly lucky, I lost 2 deer, plus some beef in my freezer due to my teen son unplugging it to plug ext cord for weed eater in, he never plugged it back in when done. Did not realize anything was amiss until one day when I walked by it and caught a whiff....opened freezer and it was bad.
Made me sick for that to go to waste like that. Had a family education on ekectric plugs and no one unplugs anything without Mom or Dad clearing it first.

Wow, glad it was an easy fix and no loss of meat.
