Taxi Quail before and after

I got these back a few weeks ago and just didn't like the foliage. It really did not represent where the birds lived. I woke up this morning and decided to "fix" it. What do you think?

Thanks for the feedback. I hadn't considered any cactus but to be fair, these guys were killed in the San Joaquin valley in California. Not any cactus in the area, I really wanted to have the mount represent the hunt.

Some of the best quail and chukar hunting in the world IMHO not far from your door out there. Grew up hunting mountain quail gamble quail and the ole red legged partridge (chukar) not to far south of where you are now.

The change looks way better too.
