Moved a box blind and platform...

...Without hurting ourselves, tearing up the blind or the trailer.

Keep, keeps keeper, McKenzie (Lil keep?), Wyatt, Lily and me went to get Keep's blind from his old lease to take to Brady.

It's a metal frame with wood skin and is on a about a six foot platform. This thing is BIG! Me, Jim and both our boys have hunted out of it before.

We used a jack, a few straps/chains and a pickup.

Not sure it could have gone any smoother!

It really was easy. If I had to guess a weight I would guess a 1/2 ton plus. It's made fro 1/4" 4in sq tubing and 4x4 1/4" angle. I've set it up and it went well but getting it down was going to be tricky so I thought.

We pull that, 2 lock-ons, 1 tripod, 2 ground blinds, 3 feeders, 2 cameras and numerous t posts in less than 3 hours.
I couldn't have done it without all the help. Thanks guys

Jeff, no formula just the right tools and some forethought. I will say though, the farm jack was an after thought and that's what made it so easy.

These are rhetorical questions, right.... Hey Jim!

Dangit I was looking forward to tagging a monster out of that blind this season.

Glad to see it all went well. It's just not going to be the same without Jim and his dad on the lease this season. Good luck in Brady and I'm not sure if I should tell you to keep Alan away from the crown or the apple juice.
