    Lumenok - X-nock broke!!!!

I just bought 1/2 dozen Axis arrows to try out. I went ahead and bought a Lumenok for them as well. It was a little tight trying to put it in, but no worse than the ones I use with normal ICS arrows.

After one shot, the Lumenok wouldn't "wiggle" out enough to shut off... so I grabbed my pliers. After about two wiggles, the nock broke off!!! I just spent the last 30 minutes with a drill and a screw getting the pieces out of the arrow and trying my best not to damage the shaft wall. I think its OK and the regular nock slides in like normal.

Anyhow... I'm out $10 for the nock and I'm a little irritated! Anyone else have trouble with these?

Sorry but they had a poor rap sheet

        Eastons Tracer works

The Lumnanockd tend to fail when hitting live game
See old posts here on TBH

Game shot with electronic nocks will not go into Pope & Young record Books either

I have had the same problems. I am going to go back to making my own tracer nocks again. Last longer and are a whole lot cheaper.

I guess I am very lucky. I have been using Lumenok’s now for 4 years and I have taken 9 deer now and my wife 4 deer using the Lumenok and have had get success. I have had to replace the knock from time to time. One knock I had took 4 deer and all were pass troughs. But the reason I retired it was after installing it back into my hunting quiver It some how got turned on and when I came home one day I noticed it was lit up but dim so I retired it to the trophy area. The knock I used this year was good for 2 pass through so far and is still on my hunting quiver ready for action. I do practice with them from time to time so they get a lot of use, and I have seen them turn off when they hit a hard target like when my wife shot the feeder leg, but after placing the knock in another shaft it was ready for action. When she hit the feeder leg it pushed the broad head back into the shaft about 1 ½ inches.
I would say one thing when pulling them back out of the shaft to turn them off make sure not to twist them and I do know on some shafts I have found that taking some sand paper and taking some of the plastic off helps them fit better. I hope they help you out on your problem and good luck!

I didn't have issues with any of them before the X-Nock version. I think they need to brush up on the tolerances for these slim arrows. They're just toooooo tight!

Bubba, did you read the reply from BC in my above post.? They told me how to fix the problem. I do agree that they need to fit a little less snug.

Yep, but they were only talking about the nock. The ziptie/battery holder was part of the problem on mine too. I don't know how I sand that part.

I started by sanding the whole barring surface of the nock to get it to fit. It doesn't take much and it will fall in. The removing one ridge will work better. If you take to much off, just take some of the thin runny Super Glue and run three lines down the barring surface and let dry. This will build it back up and you can sand(lightly, very lightly) to fit again.
