I have seen them at work while in South Africa. I also was able to compare them to a german shorthair and two ther dogs i am not sure of what they were. The jack was magic at jet speed!!!
If I were to have a tracker, it would be a jack.

They not only track, they catch. "The little feerless ones" as I call them. I will not put them on a big hog. They caught 4 bucks this year. 3 were recovered & the 4th should have been. Always make some rules before you turn the dogs loose, especially kids with guns following
