    Yellowstone

Anyone have any suggestions on where to camp? I'll be pulling my popup on this trip.

There are a lot of restriction in the park where you can camp with a soft sided camper or tents. When we lived in AZ we would make annual trips(6 yrs in a row) up there and camp outside the park by West Yellowstone. There is a campground/RV park at Hebgon Lake that was our favorite. I fly fished most of the rivers around there both inside and outside of the park.
Many days we would load up the kids and head to a different part of the park, take a small BBQ with us and find a place later in the day to eat and I'd catch the evening hatch.
West is a great small town and have one of the best 4th of July fireworks I have ever seen

I'll be up there at the end of July. Take a look on the Northeast side around Cooke City. That area is absolutely gorgeous and way less crowded. Also you might look into spending a night or two in Grand Teton.

Agree. Cooke City is often times overlooked. I don't go to Yellowstone in the june july august any more. Just too many people. When kids go back to school in Sept is an amazing time there. The Elk are bugling and colors are happening. Thats the beauty of being retired. You get the option of picking times to avoid crowds. The last thing I want when touring National Parks is a traffic jam. Have fun!!!
