    Its Snapper time !

Season started June 1st and goes forty days, so I guess ends on July 10th
I took the family down to Port-A last week for a little Texas vacation. Had a Blast! It was a much needed stress reliever. Got down to the island on Wednesday then went out on the Gulf Eagle 8 hr trip on Thursday. Everyone limited out on Snapper, lot of Atlantic Sharp-nosed sharks, 2 Ling and a Black Fin Tuna caught. Biggest one was 16#, the rest were in the 10# range.

Congrats on the snapper. It's been several years since i've been out there.

Does that boat have actual reels or do they use electronic reels?

Put my sons girlfreind on her first Red Snapper and she caught 2 Sharks

Took her to Granger earlier this year and she caught her first fish, Nice Crappie.

Had a friend get in them out of Destin and docked at Baytowne at SanDestin. He also has a few chicken coops they dive on but I said no way

                Those are some pretty fish.

I was able to make it about 16 miles out in my bay boat last saturday. After getting there, it took us maybe 20 minutes to limit on snapper. Everytime we drifted over the wreck every rod would load up. Unfortunately, with a little boat, short season, weather, work and family, I will be lucky to make another trip before end of season.
