I have always wondered about eddies. I'm going to have to try it out!

This. hard to beat those blueberry muffins at 50 yardline!

Never had a bad or sup par steak at Double Nickel either like Playa has. Everyone of these eateries quality all depends on who the cook is at a particular time. Most of the time, they are good, but there is always that one time the cook ruins everything.
Let me qualify my statement, it wasn't a bad steak at Double Nickel, just wasn't a $50 piece of meat.

Dirty's sits on the NW side of 62/82 & CR 2800. Its a little shack that the owner has remodeled. Dirty's is only open 5-9 M-S.

Good luck in whatever you are doing down there, hope you have a great time!

Playa, I know where you are talking about now and I understand the Double Nickel statement.

My wife is up there for the entire week. She is in charge of "share the fun" and the vet science skillathon. She will be glad when this week is over so she can start preparing for leadership lab.

My FIL and BIL both have livestock teams competing. Should be interesting since this is the first time their teams will compete against each other

This may sound really weird I thought of this this morning.. Everytime I have a guest come into town I take them to Spanky's and order some fried cheese and fried mushrooms..

50 yard line makes a good steak.

Cagles is a neat place with good food, you definitely need to go.

                        Mexican food at abuelos

                        Philly cheese steak at hooters.

                        Fajitas at On The Border

Breakfast at the waffle house (I love their coffee)

Lubbock has plenty of places to eat.

With two sons going through Tech I have been to Lubbock numerous times. Gave up on trying to find good BBQ. Wasnt aware of Dirty's so may have to give that a try next time. For a steak, I go to Las Brisas. I dont eat much in the way of fried foods but I have to say that fried cheese at Spanky's is awesome.

Overall good food my pick would be Las Brisas. Never had a bad steak there.

My new fav BBQ place is "Dirty's" out on the idalou highway headed east, about a mile before you get to 2641. That is some dang good que. hand makes his own sausage stuffed with ground brisket.

Las brisas is by far the best steak for the $, cagles for novelty & experience. Double nickel for a sub par steak at a Morton's price range.

                                Gardski's for all around dining.

Lubbock Breakfast House for anything breakfast, I hear their sweet potatoes pancakes are great.

Pm me if ya wanna go to dirty's I'll meet ya there!
I know I'm trying to bump an old thread here, but was wondering if Dirty's is still open for BBQ. I wanted to try this place last summer but the building I found on 62/82 looked closed and definitely didn't look like the same place as pics that have been posted online.

Do you know if this place is closed now? If so, do you know if they have moved to another location or opened another restaurant?

Thanks for any info! I'm always looking for new BBQ places to try.
