          Unbelievable pics, we are used to seeing them in black and white. Caught myself thinking it was Band of Brothers. Beautiful real life photos.

            My Dad was in the "other war" in the Pacific.
            Hat's off and a great big salute to all the "Boys" that became "Men" in the great world wide conflict.
            May they ALL "Rest in Peace".

                  I heard a quote the other day from another paratrooper who said, "The Paratroopers who jumped on D-day cast a big shadow for us live in and follow after, all we can do is thank them for the shade."
                  My grandfather was a British soldier and a POW from 1940-45, D-day was the first major step towards his liberation, and one hell of a big win in the war. I cannot put into words the respect I have for the men of the greatest generation that invaded that beach, and fell from the skies into fields. May they rest forever in peace and their efforts never be forgotten.
