Oh no! Last pack of burger!

I really have to start killing more than 2 deer a year. This is the last of the burger. We haven't had store bought ground meat since October. Sloppy joes tonight.

I shot 4 last year--3 for me and one for the land owner. He told me he needed two--said "Do you know how much dried sausage and buck sticks two teen-aged boys go through?" Fine by me--I'll just have to use all 5 tags this year.

I'm getting down there on my "stuff" too--

I had to turn the little stuff I had saved for sausage into ground venison. We were down to one package, back up to 10...it'll last 2 weeks. Saved the tenderloins from both deer for Father's Day as my Dad is coming down from WI...thats all thats left.

Looks like our eating season was a couple of months to long and there is only 2 of us.

We'll definitely grind more burger this year.

you can never have enough, we eat more each yearit seems, only put 5 in the freezer last season and will be out next month. like you said teenagers are always around to eat

I have sausage left but ran out of burger awhile back, because of the draught conditions we did not shoot as many does this past year, hopefully we can correct that this year.
