Yes Obama getting elected was great for gun and ammo sales, why wouldn't they be when he fails to lead and pushes the policies that most americans don't believe in.

I know, know!
It's when someone posts a piece of unattributed prose, then someone else (often me, but not always...there are plenty of others here who check things out for source, credibility and veracity). That person points out the source, people don't like how their source turned out to be "not an expert", and everybody gets bent out of shape, often throwing apparently disparaging remarks at said source checker, escalating until the poor mods have to pull the thread. Isn't that about right?

Actually Im thankfull for your "facts" no matter which side its on, so I wasnt referring to one person. I find these type of threads arent going to change anyones mind and so that is the reason they keep popping up. I/E....common thread

And I absolutely agree that this type of thread will change no one's mind.
And, that they will not stop. Outrage, fear and indignation are just too delicious and people love to indulge themselves. It's fun to get a lot of "me, too!"s in the mix as well. Everybody loves to be validated and certain topics on Campfire are gaur-rahn-TEED to generate heat.

Trophy, her last paragraph is probably spot on. I've seen it written here on TBH by hardcore right wingers, that BHO was the best thing for all the AR and ammo manufacturers. They've sold so many amongst the hysteria that he's going to eliminate the weapons and ammo that the demand has exceeded the supply and most AR parts and guns are sold out and on back order. It's not even debatable, at least that portion.

Second of all, who can fault her for fact checking? I'm not going to be a sheep and take whoever's word and believe every single thing that so and so says, just because they say it.

I agree with some of what she posts. What I can verify myself I will take as fact. The other, well, I can pick up any bias newspaper, computer or the remote and "prove" anything.

Back to the original topic. Another reason Our Country is where it is, is because of this thread! What I am talking about is We as a Nation can not get on the same page. We all can not (do not want to) see what is going on every day right in front of and to us (it's just that simple)!

I saw on Yahoo before I got off work something about the Bush Tax breaks will not continue in 2013. Does anyone have any info on this? I hope it's not true because I'm saving a good little bit but if it is, I guess I'll just be helping more folks that don't work...
