I have a pretty slick coleman 12v cooler that runs 'cool & warm' from your vehicle...we only use it once a year or so but neat when you need it. 95% is for warm applications.

I have learned if you need to transport something warm in a standard cooler, leave it out in the sun w/ the lid open if you can...insulation is insulation regardless of temp.

So because of you fine gentlemen I have the yeti bug. I am looking at the 45 qt yeti. Any pros and cons to this size? I already have a large igloo that I use for meat. So this is more for drinks and snacks.

Used a buddies 155 this weekend going offshore. After a 10 hour day half the ice was melted. It was also in an air conditioned cabin. Everyone on the dock was giving him hell about it.

This was the only time I have ever heard someone say something bad about them, and with that being said I still want one.

and if you don't drain the water on a moving vessel, the sloshing speeds up the ice melt...the cooler threads on this site have gone full blown "tonto".
