Did you shoot the Insanity? I can't find the thread you did on a comparison. How is the back wall compared to the drenalin? I always thought it was solid, but after shooting the insanity it was different. I guess my question is how is the Helim compared to an older Mathews bow?

I have a helim tactical as well. I am really liking it. I bought it a month ago. Before I was shooting an insanity which was a great bow but the back wall was a little extreme for me.

to start so you know my frame of reference back in the switchback days I converted to Bowtech and shot numerous in a row, then the z7 came out and I bought into the craze.

I shot the insanity well after I shot the heli-m and carbon elements side by side. It came out much later then the hoyt, mathews offerings.

After shooting it I wouldn't buy it. Not that it isn't an awesome bow . . . it is and fast as all get out. I just didn't like the draw cycle and my accuracy sucked with it. I believe it has a 6" brace height. I shoot in the low 270's out of my set up and have killed a ton of deer over the last 5 years with my fastest bow being near 280.

for me the insanity wasn't my second pick . . . it would have been the hoyt carbon element rkt

compared to older mathews bows? I can't . . . I'd say better then my old switchback and smoother then my z7

I'm not sure how I like that rest just yet, I went from a QAD to this one so If season gets here and I'm still not sure of it im switching it out with my QAD

Went and shot one and the Z7 Xtreme. Couldn't really tell the difference except for the weight. Ended up buying the xtreme. But if my wife wanted to buy me one i wouldn't turn it down.

I don't have a z7 so i cant say from experience but I've heard several guys that do have one say there wasn't enough difference between the two to warrant them buying the heli
