Can you refreeze summer sausage?

Defrosted 2 rolls for a party but then didn't take them. I was hoping to refreeze one. I'm no health inspector but seems like it should be fine.

Yes as far as I know. What I was told from a chef was that on whole muscle meat it breaks down the texture refreezing and defrosting meat. But ground meat and sausage was ok.

Yep.
Was told by a person that was a meat inspector that you can freeze and thaw 2-3 times without affecting it...if it's been kept refrigerated.
Don't leave it out on the counter for 24 hours then put it back in the freezer.
