They're supposed to seal like that. If it's easy to open that means that air is bypassing the seal...

On a serious note though I am with landrover. Although they are tough I have not seen them hold ice any better than a good igloo max cool

Haha! Im all for a good seal...but dang, I'm 3 minutes from a store with more ice. I just want the cooler lid to open easily.

Guess I will use my 'ol beat up cooler for drinks and save my yeti for the trip to the mountains where I need to watch out for bears and save ice for 10 days wildly!

Beats me. I just know I have to work at getting the lid to open. My wife just pulls The latches. I'm sure we will break one eventually.
