Question for gator hunters

i would really love to kill a few gators next year in texas and i dont want a guided hunt. where abouts do yall hunt them, do you yall bait them like on the beloved show? how would i go about getting a couple tags? any info is appreciated

Your best deal is going to be to put in for the Alligator Draw hunts with TPWD. Any other place you will have to either get a permit from a landowner, or own land or have permission on land in a non-core county that has gators on it.
