Would you buy your child their first vehicle even if you never see them? I have a son turning 17 next weekend and I really want to buy him his first vehicle. Problem is I never see him. He lives with his mom and he "just doesn't feel like coming over" and his mom won't make him. So I am torn. I love my son and I really want to buy his first truck for him but at the same time I don't think I should because of the situation. What would you do?

I think you gotta do what your heart tells you to. Don't base it on what he has done or going to do for you......base it on what you want to do for him cause you love him. Maybe talk to him face to face and let him know that you really want a deeper relationship. Ask him to show you ways you can be a better dad. Sometimes its just a communication thing. You sound like a good dad. Its tough being the family is already broken up. I would say.....search your heart and do the right thing....only you know what that is and above all else pray. God listens to the humble.
praying for you.
