Took me 2 or 3 months to find all of the thorns from this episode:

Ever made love to a prickly pear?

I've only had them in my hands when they went through welding gloves and that was bad enough. It hurts to think of the pain you guys endured.

My mom fell on some as a little girl in Arizona and she hasn't forgotten it.

I fell on one on an audad hunt in rocksprings earlier this year on the first morning of the first day. I hunted the rest of the morning picking them out as I went. I had to shave my arm with my pocket knife to get the stickers out of my arm and took an hour to get them out of my hand and back once back at camp. I never got them all and they festered for a few weeks.

Dude! This is not funny, I'm just trying to picture what happened that you fell back into those. And then I'm trying to picture you bent over the bar in your kitchen with your fiance digging them out. And I'm picturing Radar looking at both of you, thinking "WTH"? Lol. Hope it gets better man- thats terrible!!!

I did the same thing about 2 yes ago. Takes a dang good buddy to pull inch long thorns out of your backside for a couple hours. Took a few tries to get them all out. You'll know it if you don't get them and something rubs up against it. It's an experience I'll never forget!

You just about got it spot on there Cam. I was trying to drag off a large part of a tree that had been hit by lighting that was partially in one of my roads. The branch that I was pulling on, which I thought was sturdy enough, gave away then I hit my butt then my back. Landed on the prickly pair and some tasajilo (spelling?)cactus. It sucked.

I spread elmers wood glue on my leg that was full of needles. After it dried I peeled it off. It took all the hair off but it got the cactus. Still not sure it was worth it.

Dang man, I couldn't deal with that! I get them EVERY time I go to the lease, and what's funny is, I never know it happened until that evening when I get home and get undressed to get in the shower. When my britches rub across that needle, I know it, so I go looking for it. Duct tape has never worked for me, but usually a pair of tweezers will, as long as I can see the dang thing. I did see an episode of "Untold Stories of the ER" once where a little girl fell into a cactus and had thousands of needles in her back and legs. The docs pulled all the bigger needles that they could see, but weren't sure what to do about the tiny ones. Then someone got the idea to go to the pharmacy and get all the wax they had....you know, like the stuff ladies use to rip the hair out of their legs and.....other regions..... That stuff apparently worked like a charm. You might give that a shot.....although, if you do, you're a bigger man than I......and you should video the event.
