    Aftermarket Air Intake Question

Just wondering what kind of air intake do y'all think is the best? I have a '06 Ford F-150 FX4 5.4L, Edge programmer, and Flowmaster Exhaust. Just thinking between K&N, Volant, Etc.. What do y'all think?

I don't think you won't notice the differnce but have heard good things about both Volant and K&N. In fact we run a K&N on our Suburban and like it. I run a S&B on my diesel and like it as well.

Volant has true cold air brining in from fender, k&n is just open cone filter..

I think BBK might offer a fender mount cold air intake for it.

I've had K&N on a couple different pickups. Liked them...

I'm running the exact same truck setup except for the exhaust. I have magna flow. I installed a volant and I really like it. Super easy install and man does it change your truck and sound.
I had to take the edge back to stock and put it back in when I did it. But I didn't loosen the ground wire. Might be why. But I really like it.

Any more suggestion? What about throttle body spacers?

I've always heard it was a waste of money. That's one thing I've never done to my trucks.

Don't get a tbs. I have dyno test one on a previous truck. We didn't see any gain at all. I did have a nice whistle with it. My suggestion would be, find an airaid jr tube, an aftermarket filter and cut your stock air box to your liking. I do like the Volant. What I ran on my Chevy was an airaid cold air intake with an Amsoil filter.
