interview went well.
It was for a band position (which is my degree'd area).
been teaching general education (math, sci, etc) the last 2 years at the same school and this position opened up here. Been friends with the head director for years.
Definitely not a slam dunk, since the principal does the hiring and she likes me in the job function I'm in currently. But I made a valient effort to convince them I belong in front of a band again.
All answers were from the heart and completely honest and student centered...which is how I run a classroom or a band program.
Should know end of next week or sometime the week after that.
I know the Lord is going to put me where He needs me the most, and He will take care of the rest. It's scary to think that I could be an aide again next year because it would be a financial nightmare. He has always taken care of us and guided us through those rough times...he did for the last two years
Looking back I can see that the stress and strife that no money has caused us...has brought us closer and taught us how to tighten our belts. It's just difficult not to look ahead and not stress about how to make ends meet should I be making the salary I am currently making again next year.
Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers...they were definitely with me in that office! I felt very relaxed and confident.Comment
