Friend of mine has moles in his yard. Other than target practice what can he do to get rid of them. He lives in town.

how big of a place is it? the feed store by my mom and dads rents a contraption that looks like a plow disk but it has a hopper on it that u fill up with mole poison. drag the disk around, as the disk turns, it cuts a trench in the ground and drops pellets in the ground. dad rents one every year or so. seems to work.

          Long story short...

A length of dryer hose and a truck exhaust pipe.

My dad has then in Lewisville. He has put traps out for years and finally caught one. He's not an expert trapper though. If you figure out a solution please post.

Sorry. I was trying to be funny and post a Youtube video but I'm technology challenged...

The exhaust works... I did this about 20 years ago after one too many times of twisting my ankle walking through my own yard.

I had tried drowning them, but they always manage to escape.

The moles are tearing up the yard because their food source is in the yard. Get rid of the food source and they will move. I went through this last year and learned a lesson.

They love grubs. Treat the yard for grubs and they will leave.

Tractor Supply or the feed stores have mole/gopher poison (pellets). Poke a sharp rod around the outer edge of the hill until it goes down easily. You have then found the tunnel. Carefully pack the dirt around the "probe rod" by pushing the rod toward the edges of the hole. carefully remove the probe. Put a teaspoon full of gopher pellets into the hole. Take a little bunch of grass or weeds and carefully poke them into the hole being careful not to get dirt on the pellets. Lightly add dirt to the now grass/weed covered hole. Do this to EVERY hill. One (1) Gopher can have many hills. In about a week your gopher problem is gone. I've done this many times every year and had great success. If you have woods nearby, you are gonna have a war on your hands.

Good luck and may God bless.

X2! Then trap the little buggers if there are just a few mounds showing up.
